Buenos Aires, Argentina. 1977.
After a Coup d'Etat by the armed forces, the Argentine government imposes a military dictatorship that operates through violence, torture, and results in the disappearance of thousands of people.
Claudio Tamburrini is a 17-year old goalkeeper for a B-league soccer team. He is arrested and transferred to an Illegal Detention Center known as Sere Mansion: an old aristocratic mansion in the suburban Moron neighborhood.
There Claudio meets Guillermo, Marcos and Gallego. They live together putting up with the terror, fear, and the foul treatment they receive.
Finally, after four months of captivity, they decide to escape. One rainy night, completely naked, they jump into the void and manage to save their lives... thus they start their real future. Void
Chronicle of an Escape is a testimony film based on a novel by Claudio Tamburrini, in collaboration with Guillermo Fernández. Both of them were members of the only successful escape registered during the last Argentine military dictatorship.
Today, Claudio teaches Philosophy and lives in Stockholm, Sweden. Guillermo lives in Montpellier, France, where he is an actor and puppeteer.
